VESTAL, N.Y. – For the second straight game sophomore forward
Anna Olson led the way for Vermont with 19 points as the Catamounts overcame an early nine-point deficit to win their third straight game Wednesday night defeating Binghamton 47-34 on the road. With the win, Vermont improved to 8-4 in league play while the Bearcats fell to 1-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bearcats started strong Wednesday night, they hit their first three shots of the game and built up a 9-0 lead just 2:59 into the contest. Olson had four points in the first quarter and Josie Larkins hit a jumper at the buzzer to make it a 13-10 game after the opening 10 minutes.
- After a back and forth second quarter Delaney Richason hit a three-pointer with 1:46 to go in the half to give UVM its first lead of the night. Sarah Wells hit a free throw with two seconds to go giving UVM a 22-21 edge at the break.
- In the third quarter Olson took over for the Catamounts. She had eight points in the frame as UVM extended its lead to seven heading to the fourth.
- The Catamounts opened the fourth quarter with a 9-0 run fueled by three points from Richason and Olson. The run which was capped by Aryana Dizon with 3:58 to go gave UVM a game-high 14-point advantage. The Bearcats never cut it below 12 in the final minutes.

The Catamounts will face UAlbany, who is tied for second place, in their next two contests. On Saturday at 1 p.m. that teams will faceoff at SEFCU Arena, then at noon on Monday the teams will square off at Patrick Gym. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
