SCOUTING THE BOBCATS
Quinnipiac makes the trip to Burlington after suffering a 5-2 season-opening loss to Boston College on Aug. 25. Noah Silverman and Jason Buhai were the goal scorers for the Bobcats, while Karl Netzell and Matthew Pisani split time in goal. The Bobcats were picked No. 4 in the MAAC Preseason Poll, with senior forward Brage Aasen named to the Preseason All-MAAC team. Aasen led Quinnipiac with 11 goals and three assists in 2021.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts and Bobcats meet for the fourth time in series history and the first time in Burlington. The series is knotted up at 1-1-1 through the first three meetings, with Vermont taking a 1-0 victory in 2019.
Nate Silveira recorded his first shutout as a Catamount, posting a two-save outing on the road.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nate Silveira was named America East Defensive Player of the Week following his four-save shutout in the season-opening win at Merrimack. The East Providence, R.I. native is one of only 10 goalkeepers in the country to record a shutout in the first week of the season.

Ryan Combe scored the lone goal in the season opener, as Vermont defeated Merrimack 1-0 to start the season 1-0 for the second consecutive year. Combe's goal was his first collegiate goal, coming in his first game since transfering to UVM.
FAMILIAR FACES
UVM returns 79.7% of its scoring from a season ago, withÂ
Alex Nagy (20 points) leading the way. Eighteen of the 19 Catamounts who earned starts in 2021, are back in action for the Green & Gold, including 10 of its 11 starters from the America East Championship. Vermont also brings back eight of its nine all-league members from a season ago.
HERMANN WATCH LIST
Alex Nagy and
Noah Egan were named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List prior to the start of the 2022 campaign. The Hermann Trophy is presented annually to the nation's top NCAA Division I soccer player. The UVM duo made the prestigious list for the second consecutive season.
