BURLINGTON, Vt. – The University of Vermont Athletic Department announced the promotional schedule for the 2022 Field Hockey season Wednesday morning. The promotions will take place at home games, located at Moulton Winder Field. Entrance is free for all home regular season games.

Vermont will play again at home for its Rally Against Cancer game presented by Mascoma Bank on Sunday, Sept. 18 against Stanford. All fans are encouraged to support the team and cancer awareness initiative by wearing lavender, which is the universal cancer awareness color. All Rally Against Cancer initiatives will benefit the UVM Cancer Center. Please visit their table for donations, giveaways, educational opportunities and more.
A matinee game will take place on Friday, Sept. 23, vs. Bryant. The team will recognize the importance of Spread Respect and mental health awareness. Spread Respect is an initiative that was developed by the America East Conference to raise awareness to ensure equality and safety for all student-athletes, coaches and fans without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.
This game will also serve as their Rally Around Mental Health game, an initiative that was created to help increase awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health. Led by student-athletes, the Rally Around Mental Health initiative offers educational programming and activities to promote mental health, resources for seeking help, and supports ongoing conversations about mental health through designated games for each sport. The Cats will celebrate Faculty and Staff Appreciation on Friday, Oct. 7, against UMass Lowell. As a thank you for all the support and work that the University of Vermont Faculty and Staff does for the team, all Faculty and Staff can stop by the marketing table with their Cat Card and be entered to win prizes! Winners will be announced at halftime.
Join in on the pregame and postgame fun on Sunday, Oct. 16 as UVM hosts Stonehill for Youth Day presented by Healthy Living. Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite youth jersey to the game and will have the opportunity to pass with the Cats and ask them all their favorite questions postgame! Please make sure all kids bring their own stick. Plus, stop by the marketing table after the game to receive a team poster and get autographs from the team and coaching staff. Prior to the game, kids can participate in a variety of activities surrounding Moulton Winder Field.
Vermont will host Dartmouth in their second to last home game of the regular season on Sunday, October 23, at 12 noon. Leading up to the game, make sure to follow UVM Athletics on Twitter and Facebook for a chance to win prizes, winners will be announced at the game.
The Cats will conclude their regular season and host California for their Senior Day game on Sunday, Oct. 30 presented by the University of Vermont Alumni Association. Join us postgame as the team will recognize all graduating seniors. Plus, we will host Trick-or Treat with the Cats throughout the game. Dress in your favorite costume and win some prizes!
