HOW IT HAPPENED
- Murray continued his scoring streak in the 26th minute when he gave Vermont the 1-0 lead. Alex Nagy dribbled into the 18-yard box and drew the attention of goalkeeper Greg Monroe (5 saves) before passing to Murray.
- The Catamounts outshot the Saints 10-0 in the opening frame, with Murray registering three shots in the half.
- Nagy doubled the UVM lead in the second half with his second goal in as many games. Murray found the Vermont midfielder who faked out a Siena defender before firing a rocket into the upper left corner.
- Mujtaba Mirhasan added his first collegiate goal in the 82nd minute when a pass from Murray freed him up for a partial breakaway.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Murray's four-point game is the highest single-game total by a Catamount this season. His two assists are also a career high. Murray becomes the first Catamount to reach 10 points this season.
- Nagy registers three points for his second consecutive game. The fifth-year senior has registered points in three of his four games this season.
- Mirhasan is the sixth different goal scorer for Vermont this season.
- The Catamounts finished the game with a 17-1 advantage in shots.
- Nate Silveira recorded his third clean sheet of the season.
- With today's win, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to COTS, the Committee on Temporary Shelter, as part of the Cats Win, Community Wins initiative. Since the campaigns inauguration in 2017, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group has donated over $72,000 to local non-profits.
