Four-Goal Second Half Powers #22 Cats to 5-0 Victory at Binghamton

VESTAL, N.Y. – A four-goal second half powered No. 22 Vermont (9-2-2, 3-1 AE) to a 5-0 victory over Binghamton (3-7-2, 1-1-2 AE) on a rainy Saturday night at Bearcats Sports Complex.

"A breakout day for our attack scoring five goals with five different goal scorers in five different ways. I love the shutout too. I'm proud of team's mentality. HOW IT HAPPENED INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Vermont's five-goal output is its highest since Oct. 29, 2019 against Holy Cross (W, 5-1).
  • Jack registered his seventh shutout of the season, to move into a tie for No. 2 in the country.
  • Lockermann and Jacob Vitale each produced two assists in the victory. Vitale's helpers came on each of Vermont's final two goals.
  • Former student manager Tucker Paron made his collegiate debut in the 84th minute. The graduate student registered one shot in the contest.
  • With the win, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to King Street Center as part of the Cats Win, Community Wins initiative. Since its inauguration in 2017, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group has donated over $80,000 to local non-profits through the Cats Win, Community Wins initiative.
