COACH'S QUOTE
"That was one gutsy performance by our team today, and especially goalie Sydney Correa," Head Coach Jim Plumer said. "She kept us in the game during the first period when we were being widely outplayed. Credit to our team and our leadership for flipping the script in the second period and our power play really came up big today. This team has a ton of heart and we will keep fighting for each other."

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Boston College ignited the scoring with a power play goal just 3:27 into the opening frame. Molly Jordan connected with Jade Arnone who delivered a pass across the ice to Abby Newhook. Newhook one-timed the puck into the back of the net to give the Eagles the early lead.
  • Vermont responded with a power play goal of their own at the 11:48 mark in the second period. Evelyne Blais-Savoie fed a pass to Natálie Mlýnková, who faked a shot, causing the defense to shift, before unleashing a wrist shot to level the game at one apiece. Krista Parkkonen was credit with the secondary assist.
  • At the 4:05 mark of the third period, the Catamounts secured their second power play goal of the game. Parkkonen fed a pass to Mlýnková, who then connected with Blais-Savoie. Blais-Savoie hesitated before firing a powerful shot from the right faceoff circle, propelling UVM into their first lead of the game at 2-1.
  • The Eagles scored the equalizing goal with 2:24 remaining in the third period. Molly Jordan fired a shot from the high slot that deflected off Julia Pellerin and in to tie the game at 2-2. Sammy Taber was credited with the secondary assist.
  • Skelton scored the game-winning goal just 10 seconds after the Eagles tied the game. Skelton caused a Boston College turnover in the neutral zone leading to a two-on-two rush. Skelton kept the puck herself, skated through the opposing defense and deposited the puck into the top left corner to seal the Vermont victory.
