Jane Trauger tallied a career-high five goals to lead the Vermont (2-4) to a 12-7 victory over Harvard (0-4, 0-1 Ivy) on Tuesday night at Jordan Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts and Crimson battled to an even 3-3 draw in the first quarter, exchanging goals in the frame. Lily Trainor scored first for Vermont, netting the equalizer two minutes into the game, after an early 1-0 deficit. Trauger scored UVM's next two goals, but the Catamounts never had the lead in the opening frame.
- Maddie Erskine scored back-to-back goals in the second quarter to give the Catamounts a 5-3 lead with 7:42 remaining. Both tallies were unassisted, with her first goal coming on a woman-up opportunity.
- The Crimson battled back with two consecutive goals from Riley Campbell and Callie Hem to tie the game at 5-5 with 2:17 remaining in the first half.
- Trauger completed her hat trick with 0:46 left in the second quarter on an assist from Ava Vasile to give Vermont the 6-5 lead heading into the break.
- Hem quickly knotted the game at 6-6 coming out of the break, scoring her third goal just 0:57 into the third quarter.
- Vermont responded with a 3-0 scoring run through the rest of the quarter to take a 9-6 lead heading into the final stanza. Claire Adelhelm put the Catamounts in front, scoring less than a minute after Hem's tying goal. Trauger netted her fourth goal of the game on a woman-up opportunity with 9:06 left in the quarter. Meghan O'Connor added a goal with 0:15 seconds left for a three-goal cushion.
- UVM's scoring run continued in the fourth quarter with three-straight goals before the midway point of the frame. McKenzie Ballard scored her second goal of the season with 12:57 left on a feed from Adelhelm. Maddie Erskine completed her hat trick with 9:47 remaining, converting a pass from Trauger, and Trauger added a goal 1:43 later to put the Cats up 12-6.
- The Crimson added one final goal, with Ilana Kofman scoring her second of the season in the final minutes..
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Trauger scored a career-high five goals on seven shots. The first-year finished with six shots on goal and added an assist to her tally.
- Erskine finished with a season-high three goals with five shots on target.
- O'Connor recorded a goal on two shots. The midfielder also collected a team-high five ground balls.
- Vasile had two assists and collected three ground balls for the Catamounts.
- Sophie McLaughlin registered 13 saves in goal for Vermont.
