COACH'S QUOTE
"I thought throughout the game we came with a work ethic tonight, especially in the first half," head coach
Rob Dow said. "I think the statistics said the ball was in Siena's half of the field for 73% of the first half, and we've talked about the pressure to do that. We created some really clear-cut scoring chance, just didn't convert. But I liked our mentality going into the second half with the same aggression and we're got a goal out of it and a great shutout at home against a good team."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts and Saints played a scoreless first half, with Vermont owning a 9-1 advantage in shots. Yaniv Bazini had four shots for the Cats, including the best chance of the frame – a shot from the top of the 18-yard box in the third minute that hit the left post and went wide.
- Max Murray also had a strong chance for the Catamounts when his shot was denied by Bennet Glinder (5 saves) in the 23rd minute.
- Carter Johnson broke the scoreless tie in the 55th minute with his third goal of the season. Vermont caught Siena by surprise on a free kick when Bazini quickly found Johnson for the winning tally.
- Bazini nearly doubled the UVM lead in the 73rd minute when he directed a header toward the lower left corner that was stopped by Glinder.
