COACH'S QUOTE
"We have to learn that we are a program that has to consistently play to its identity," Head Coach
Steve Wiedler said. "We don't have a choice when it comes to this aspect of our program. Credit to UNH they out competed us for a majority of that game. We will go about redefining that standard over the off weekend."

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Wildcats opened the scoring 7:18 into the contest on the power play. In transition Ryan Conmy fired a shot that was blocked by a Vermont defender, the puck went right back to Conmy though and his quick second shot found the back of the net for his team-leading 12th goal of the season.
- UNH doubled its lead with a shorthanded tally 80 seconds later. Harrison Blaisdell notched his fourth goal of the year with a snap shot labeled for the top corner.
- J.P. Turner made it a three-goal advantage with 6:38 to play in the opening frame. His second of the season was assisted by Colton Huard and Robert Cronin. After Gabe Carriere fell in front of the net Turner was able to wrist it home.
- Jens Richards got one back for the Catamounts with 2:45 to play in the opening frame. Zach Dubinsky fired a shot from the point and Richards was able to deflect it in just under the bar for his seventh goal of the season.
- With 34 seconds to play in the first UNH reestablished its three-goal edge with an individual effort from Liam Devlin. Devlin cut down the wing one-on-one with a UVM defender and he sniped home his sixth of the year.
- Chris Theodore made it a two-goal game again 7:33 into the middle frame. On the forecheck Isak Walther won a puck battle down low and fed the puck to Theodore alone in front. His quick wrist shot went under Tyler Muselik's blocker for his fourth goal of the year. Massimo Lombardi earned the secondary assist on the tally.
- Huard pushed the lead back to three with six seconds left in the second period. Morgan Winter found Huard alone at the point and he was able to skate into the slot before firing a shot home for his third goal of the season.
- Richards struck again for the Catamounts with 3:31 to play in regulation on a shorthanded break. Carriere made a save into the corner and Richards did the rest. He went coast-to-coast beating to UNH defenders before neatly floating a shot top corner for his second goal of the night.
- UNH closed out the scoring with an empty-netter from Marty Lavins with 26 seconds left in regulation to split the weekend set.
