HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the fourth minute the Catamounts just missed opening the scoring. There was a loose ball in the box that came to UVM's Sydney Wathuta. He made a quick fake to free up some space and fired a shot that was deflected just over the bar.
- The Catamounts did take the lead in the 30th minute. Wathuta played a ball into the box and amongst a group of three UVM players Pieter Bultman rose up on the play and headed it perfectly into the near corner for his first career goal.
- The Bulldogs best opportunity came in the 80th minute. In transition from 27 yards out Bryant's Jonas Lyshoj ripped a curling effort towards the near post. At a full dive UVM's Niklas Herceg made the save and slammed into the post. Herceg made three saves in the contest to preserve the UVM win.
