HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bearcats opened the scoring in the 15th minute. In transition Binghamton placed a cross into the box, Cailen Thomas directed the ball towards a teammate and a UVM defender went to clear it out of danger. The clearing attempt hit Marcus Nahim and he quickly gathered himself to slot home his first goal of the season.
- In the 60th minute the Catamounts produced their best chance to that point in transition. Ioannis Vassiliou fed a cross into the box and Yaniv Bazini headed it to the far post, on a fully extended dive Binghamton's Dylan McDermott caught it and kept it out.
- In the 78th minute Binghamton's Alex Balkey received a second yellow card taking down a Vermont player in transition. As such he was sent off forcing the Bearcats to play with 10 players for the remainder of the contest.
- In the dying minutes the Catamounts would finally break through. Off a Vermont corner Bleeker headed a strike to the far post, it beat McDermott but Binghamton's Ryan Gillon saved it off the line.
- Sydney Wathuta gathered the clearance at the edge of the box and sent it right back on goal, this time Bleeker wouldn't be denied. He slotted a header just inside the post for his first goal as a Catamount.
