- Whitaker opened the scoring seven minutes into the first quarter off the feed from Haley.
- Syracuse got their first goal from Christian Mule and then added two more through Luke Rhoa and Joey Spallina.
- Carson Boyle then added his first of the season when he scored unassisted with a minute to go in the first quarter.
- The Orange then went on a five-goal run with help from Jake Stevens, Sam English, Mule, Billy Dawn, and Rhoa.
- Griffin Fenech broke the five-goal run when he scored with seven minutes to go in their first half.
- Brock Haley tallied his first of the season when he scored man-up 35 seconds later.
- Syracuse closed the half on a four-goal run with goals from Mule, Rhoa, Joey Spallina, and Tucker Kellog.
- The Orange got the first two goals of the second through Spallina and English.
