POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Vermont (5-1) scored three goals in a span of 1:46 in the fourth quarter to take the lead and secure a 13-10 victory over Marist (0-4) on Saturday at Tenney Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Red Foxes grabbed the first lead of the day 1:22 into the contest when Kerri Gutenberger converted on the free position opportunity.
- Vermont quickly countered on a goal from Kendall Traveis 0:32 later. McKenzie Ballard was credited with the assist on UVM's opening tally.
- Gutenberger put Marist back in front, up 2-1 with 11:11 left in the opening quarter.
- Ava Vasile tied the score 0:12 later when she pulled in the draw control and sprinted to the net before notching her first goal of the day.
- Kelly Trotta scored twice on separate woman-up opportunities later in the opening frame as the Marist lead grew to 4-2 with 2:51 left in the quarter.
- Lydia Doraz scored a free-position goal with 0:34 left in the first quarter to cut the deficit to 4-3.
- Jane Trauger quickly tied the game and put the Catamounts in front with a pair of goals in the first 2:11 of the second quarter. The sophomore attacked the Red Foxes' goal in the opening seconds after Vermont won the draw control and tied it 4-4 just 0:10 into the frame. She gave the Cats their first lead of the day with 12:49 left in the second quarter.
- Trotta tied the game at 5-5 with her third tally of the day, coming 0:39 after Trauger's go-ahead goal.
- Vasile's second goal of the game came on a free position shot that gave UVM a 6-5 lead with 10:05 left in the second quarter.
- Goals from Maddie Schrader and Gutenberger gave Marist a 7-6 lead with 3:41 remaining in the half.
- Ballard knotted the score at 7-7 with 1:31 left in the second frame, converting on a feed from Trauger.
- Vasile gave UVM an 8-7 lead with 0:12 left as the Cats would head into halftime up a goal.
- Trotta registered her fourth goal of the game on a woman-up opportunity 2:46 into the third quarter to make the score 8-8.
- Olivia Arnsten briefly put the Red Foxes ahead by one goal with 3:09, but Doraz countered with her second goal of the game 0:10 later to tie it at 9-9. Doraz pulled in the draw control and quickly attacked the goal as the two squads entered the final quarter tied.
- Ballard put the Catamounts back in front, up 10-9, 4:07 into the fourth quarter with her second goal of the day.
- Arnsten found Guternberger for her 11th goal of the season to tie the game at 10-10 with 9:59 remaining.
- Trauger scored back-to-back goals for the Catamounts to take the lead and extend it to 12-10. The sophomore's first came with 8:12 remaining, followed by another just 0:45 later.
- Vasile stretched UVM's lead to three goals when she netted her fourth goal of the season, spinning off a Marist defender and finding the back of the net with 6:26 left.
- The Catamounts held off a pair of scoring chances for the Red Foxes, including a stop by Anna Rosenberger with 4:46 left.

- Trauger and Vasile each tallied a game-high four goals. Trauger's goal total and points total were both season highs. Vasile led all players with 14 shots, including nine directed on goal.
- Rosenberger made six saves in goal for the Catamounts. Megan Morris had 12 saves for the Red Foxes.
- Doraz registered the first two-goal game of her career. The rookie tallied three shots in the contest.
- Erin Kloostra was credited with a team-high two ground balls. Claire Adelhelm tallied a team-high two caused turnovers.
- With the win, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to Vermont Children's Trust Foundation as part of the Cats Win, Community Wins initiative. Since its inauguration in 2017, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group has donated over $94,000 to local non-profits through the Cats Win, Community Wins initiative.
