Lowell, Mass. – Tristan Whitaker had four goals, while Luke Reiter and Brock Haley each had five points as Vermont (6-7, 4-2 AE) defeated UMass Lowell (0-11, 0-6 AE) on Saturday night in Lowell.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Whitaker opened the scoring 51 seconds in when he scored off an assist from Haley.Â
- The River Hawks equalized when Justin Longo scored four minutes later.Â
- Luke Reiter picked up a loose ground ball to score his 14th of the season only eight seconds later.Â
- The Catamounts then closed the first quarter out with three goals in the final minute, with Reiter, Charlie Pope, and Max Frattaroli all recording tallies off assists from Haley and Harrison Josloff.
- Riley Lawhorn cut the gap to three for Lowell when he scored five minutes into the second quarter.Â
- Charlie Egan then recorded his first career goal when he scored off an assist from Reiter 14 seconds later.Â
- Whitaker got his second of the game when he scored off Josloff's second assist of the day to make it 7-2.Â
- Khairi Sears got the River Hawks third with just under four minutes to go in the half to make it 7-3.Â

- With 44 seconds left, Carson Boyle picked up his first of the afternoon and sixth of the season to make it 18-8.Â
