Griffin Fenech each had hattricks as the second seeded Catamounts dropped a heartbreaking America East Championship game to the top-seed Great Danes.

- Jake Piseno opened the scoring for UAlbany when he scored off an assist from Silas Richmond four minutes into the game.
- Finn O'Hara tied the game up two minutes later when he scored off an assist from Haley.
- Charlie Pope gave Vermont a 2-1 lead when he found the back of the net off an assist from Fenech.
- Fenech got one of his own to make it 3-1, when he scored unassisted with 56 seconds to go in the first quarter.
- 59 seconds into the second quarter, Fenech got a second when he scored unassisted again to make it 4-1.
- UAlbany went on a two-goal run through two goals from Richmond.
- Haley got his first of the game when he took it himself from X to make it 5-3.
- Harrison Josloff made it 6-3 with an on the run lefty shoot that found the top corner.
- The Great Danes closed the half on a three-goal run through goals by Ryan Doherty, Richmond, and Graydon Hogg.
- UAlbany opened the second half scoring three straight with goals by Piseno, Amos Whitcomb, and Richmond.
- Haley got one back for the Catamounts as he scored off an assist from Max Frattaroli with three minutes to go in the third.
- Fenech completed his hattrick 45 seconds later off an assist from Haley to cut the deficit to one.
- Alex Pfeiffer added a goal a minute into the fourth to extend the Great Danes lead to two.
- Frattaroli got his first of the game with nine minutes to go in the game when he scored off an assist from Haley to make it a one-goal deficit.
- 11 seconds later, Jack Combs found the back of the net for his first career goal to make it a tie-game.
- UAlbany went on a two-goal run through goals by Hogg and Daniel Kesselring.
- The Catamounts got a goal back with 13 seconds to go as Haley completed his hattrick off an assist from Pope.

- Henry Dodge put together another outstanding performance at the faceoff spot as he went 16-23 with 10 ground balls. He finishes the season with 200 faceoff wins and 103 ground balls which are the third most in a single season.
- Combs had a career high eight ground balls in addition to his first career goal.
- Fenech's hattrick was the second of his career and the four points tie a single-game career high.
- Charlie Egan recorded two caused turnovers which matched a single game career high for him as well.
