BURLINGTON, Vt. – Meg Weyer and Maddie Priestly each recorded their first goals of the season as Vermont (1-4) defeated Wagner (2-3) on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Catamounts had four chances in the opening quarter, but Saar van Dalen saved each.
• In the 12th minute, Priestly scored when she redirected a pass from Sophia Lefranc to make it 1-0.
• Weyer doubled the Catamount's lead when she scored in the 35th minute off an assist from Meredith Medvetz.

• With the victory, the Catamounts have won three straight home openers under coach Pfeifer.

The Catamounts will be in action again on Friday (Sept. 20) when they take on UC Davis to open America East play. The game will begin at 4 p.m. and be streamed live on America East TV. It will be the Catamounts annual Military Appreciation game.
