PETER BALDWIN MEMORIAL GAME pres. MORGAN STANLEY
- The annual Peter Baldwin Memorial Game allow us to honor Peter's memory, and his commitment to the special Vermont community through both his time at UVM and his work at Morgan Stanley.
- Baldwin, a 1968 graduate and 1984 UVM Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, guided the Vermont men's soccer team to three straight Yankee Conference titles and currently ranks fifth on the school's all-time scoring list.
- Yaniv Bazini will wear an armband with the number '11' in honor of Baldwin.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP
- The Eagles are looking for their first win of the season after tying (T, 0-0) with Temple on Monday.
- American received the third most first-place votes in the Patriot League Preseason Poll.
- Ethan Boyle was named the 2024 Patriot League Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
- Sam Hershey, Zemi Rodriquez, and Cooper Nunn were selected to the Preseason All-Patriot League Men's Soccer Team.

- Before transferring to Vermont, Mike Bleeker played four seasons at American.
- Has a captain in 2023, and was named to the All-Patriot League First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Third Team. He also made the All-Patriot League Third Team in 2022.
- Helped American earn a Patriot League Championship in 2021.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK,
- Lou Liedtka collected his first America East honor this past week.
- Went 1-0-1, with a 0.500 GAA and eight saves in a pair of road wins.
- Allowed one goal with seven saves in a 1-1 draw at UC Irvine and denied a penalty shot in the 88th minute to preserve the tie.
- Faced 10 shots and made one save to earn a 1-0 shutout against San Diego State.
WEST COAST TRIP
- The Catamounts went unbeaten on an eight-day road trip in California.
- Yaniv Bazini scored a goal at UC Irvine which resulted in a 1-1 tie.
- Maximilian Kissel's first goal of the season lifted Vermont to their first victory of the season (W, 1-0) over San Diego State on Monday night.
PRESEASON HONORS
- Vermont was selected as the preseason favorite by America East head coaches for the first time since 2008. The Catamounts picked up five of seven possible first-place votes and scored a total of 47 points in the poll.
- Yaniv Bazini, Max Murray, Adrian Schulze Solano, Sydney Wathuta, Zach Barrett, and Nick Lockermann took up six of a possible 11 spots on the America East Preseason All-Conference Team.
- Bazini was one of 16 NCAA Division I players named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List. The award is presented at the end of the season to the nation's top collegiate player
