Women's Basketball Travels to UMBC for Third Game on Road Trip

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont (10-10, 5-1 AE) travels to UMBC (8-9, 1-4 AE) on Jan. 25 for the third game of a three-game road trip. The game will tip off at 2:00 p.m. ET and be streamed live on ESPN+.

BROADCAST INFORMATION
The game will be streamed live on ESPN+. Fans can listen to the game for free on the Vermont Sports Network from Learfield on WVMT, which will air on 96.3 FM in Burlington, 105.9 FM in Plattsburgh, and 620 AM around the rest of the region. The radio broadcast is also available via the Varsity Network App, and Ryan Zimmerman is on the call.

VERMONT OUTLOOK

The Catamounts defeated NJIT in their last game, 60-38.
Keira Hanson had a season high 19 points to lead the way. Nikola Priede and Anna Olson were second and third scoring 10 and eight respectively.
Olson and Bella Vito Vermont on the boards with eight each. Sarah Ericson and Malia Lenz were tied for second with six each.
Vito led the Catamounts distribution with four assists, while Olson had three and Ericson had two.
Vermont holds a 27-20 series advantage and have won five straight against the Retrievers.
The Catamounts have won nine of the last 10 and won both games last year including a 70-55 win in Baltimore.
This season, Olson is Vermont's leading scorer, averaging 13.9 points per game. Hanson and Vito are second and third, averaging 9.8 and 8.7 per game, respectively.
Vito leads the Catamounts on the boards with 6.5 per game. Olson and Priede are second and third, averaging 5.1 and 3.8 per game, respectively.

SCOUTING THE RETRIEVERS

UMBC is 1-4 in conference play and defeated UAlbany 71-59 on Thursday.
The Retrievers went 7-5 in nonconference and shared a familiar opponent with Vermont in Manhattan, whom UMBC lost 60-50.
They were picked sixth in the America East preseason poll.
Jordan Lewis, Talia Davis, and Jaliena Sanchez are the Retrievers' leading scorers, averaging 11, 9.9, and 9.1 ppg, respectively.
Jaden Walker, Lewis, and Davis are the UMBC top rebounders, averaging 5.6, 4.8, and 4.2, respectively.
Sanchez, Walker, and Lewis are the top returning scorers from 2023-24.
Walker, Lewis, Laura Lacambra, and Sanchez are the top rebounders to return.
