BURLINGTON, Vt. – Following one of the most dominant regular seasons in program history seeing the Vermont men's soccer team complete an unbeaten regular season going 12-0-5 (6-0-1 AE), America East released Major Awards and All-Conference selections for the 2025 season featuring four Major Award winners for Vermont and 13 different All-Conference recognitions, which is a new program record.

MAJOR AWARDS FOR THE CATAMOUNTS
Nico Loebus – AE Rookie of the Year

• Started all 17 matches for the Catamounts this season.
• Tied for third in the league with 5 assists.
• Scored the most points by a rookie in the league during conference play (one goal, two assists, four points) and was tied for most overall points by a rookie in America East with one goal, five assists, and seven points.
• Third Catamount in the last six years to earn Rookie of the Year honors.

Nick Lockermann – AE Defender of the Year

• Has two goals and two assists while starting all 17 games on defense.
• Captained a defense which allowed just two goals in conference play and only allowed more than one goal in two total games this season.
• Second straight Catamount to win the award after Zach Barrett last season.

Niklas Herceg – AE Goalkeeper of the Year

• Ranks 11th nationally with a 0647 GAA and is sixth nationally with nine shutouts.
• Allowed just two goals in seven conference games with five shutouts and a .913 save percentage. All numbers led the conference.
• Fourth Catamount to secure Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

AE Coaching Staff of the Year – Rob Dow, Brad Cole, Rory Twomey, Owen Jack & Eric Bissell

• Won outright regular season title for the first time since 2017.
• Enter America East Semifinals on a 27-match unbeaten streak, the longest active streak in the nation.
• Allowed just two goals in conference play, tied for the lowest mark in league history.
• Head Coach Rob Dow is assisted by Brad Cole, Rory Twomey, Owen Jack and Eric Bissell.
