BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (14-1-5, 6-0-1 AE) scored an equalizer goal in the 84th minute, sending the match to overtime, but it was Hofstra (14-5, 7-1 CAA) netting the winning goal in the 97th minute of play, earning the Pride a 3-2 win at Virtue Field during the NCAA Tournament Second Round on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts pounced on the scoreboard first in the 13th minute of play off a corner kick, seeing Omar Robbana take the corner. Robbana sailed the ball perfectly to the head of Marcos Blasoc, finding Philipp Kühn on the far post who used his left foot to bury his seventh goal on the campaign, securing Vermont the first half 1-0 lead.
- Pablo Hempelmann-Perez knotted the score for Hofstra at 1-1 in the 66th minute, registering his second goal of the season.
- The Pride scored once again just over two minutes later, this time seeing Jan Ziewiec net his second goal on the campaign, lifting Hofstra up, 2-1.
- In the 84th minute of action, Vermont tied the match after a corner kick taken by Robbana was pinned perfectly for Rui Aoki to soar through the air and use his head to place the ball in the top left corner, scoring his second goal of the year, knotting the match at 2-2.
- The match was sent to overtime after the final buzzer in regulation rang.
- Hofstra sealed the deal 6:18 into the overtime, seeing Daniel Burko find Laurie Goddard in the box who used his left foot to secure his 13th goal of the year, ultimately advancing Hofstra to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
