BURLINGTON, Vt. – On Thursday morning it was announced that Rob Dow has accepted the heading men's soccer coaching position at Penn State University. University of Vermont Director of Athletics
Jeff Schulman announced that Associate Head Coach
Brad Cole '14 will serve as Interim Head Coach.
Rob Dow concludes his tenure in Burlington, as the winningest coach in program history with an overall record of 109-41-21. He led the Catamounts to four America East regular season titles, three conference tournament championships and five consecutive NCAA Tournament berths from 2021-2025. Under Dow the Catamounts won 11 NCAA Tournament games culminating with the 2024 NCAA Championship with a 2-1 win over Marshall last December.
"On behalf of the Athletic Department and the entire UVM community, I want to thank Rob for his exceptional leadership of our men's soccer program over the past nine years," said Schulman. "Under his guidance, the program has reached unprecedented heights at the top of the college soccer world and established a lasting foundation of excellence with outstanding student-athletes whose character, leadership and talent embody the very best of college athletics on and off the field. We wish Rob, Loren, Hanson and Russel all the best as they begin this new chapter in their lives. They will always be valued members of the Catamount athletic family."

Cole is a former Captain of the Catamounts and has served as Associate Head Coach over the last three seasons, the most successful in program history. With a strong background in recruitment, player development and team management, Cole has established himself as a prominent figure in the collegiate soccer landscape.
