HOW IT HAPPENED
- Catamounts started off the match with a goal from Emily Cutler. This was Cutler's first collegiate goal.
- Fairfield ended the 1st quarter with three straight goals.
- At the 11:18 mark in the 2nd quarter, Caitlin Haggerty scored a bounce shot off a free position shot. Cats were still down 4-2.
- Two minutes later, Fairfield responded with their own free position goal.
- Claire Adelhelm hit a spin move which freed her up for a top-shelf goal as UVM trailed 3-5 with six minutes remaining.
- Kendall Travies bobbled a pass from Claire Adelhelm and then batted the ball in for a goal before the end of the 1st half.
- At halftime, Vermont was down 4-5.
- Two minutes into the 2nd half, Caitlin Haggerty scored her second goal of the game thanks to a dodge. Catamounts tied it up 5-5.
- A minute later, Fairfield retook the lead 6-5.
- At the 8:34 mark, Lindsay Lefebvre scored her first goal of the afternoon to tie the game at 6.
- After another Fairfield goal, Maddie Erskine tied the game at 7 with six minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter.
- The Stags scored three straight goals to end the 3rd quarter. UVM trailed 7-10.
