BURLINGTON, Vt. – After capturing its eighth America East Championship and earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Vermont women's basketball team will face 2024 Final Four participant No. 2 NC State (26-6, 16-2 ACC) in the First Round in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Catamounts and Pack will meet for the second time in series history on Saturday (Mar. 22) at 2 p.m. in a game nationally broadcast on ESPN. Vermont defeated NC State 52-46 in the Wolfpack Invitational hosted by NC State on November 14, 2009.
Fans can request tickets for the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at
https://go.uvm.edu/ncaa. The deadline to submit a request is 9 a.m. ET on Monday (Mar. 17). Tickets in the Vermont block are also good for the second game of the session No. 10 Harvard vs. No. 7 Michigan State (4:30 p.m.).
Vermont brings a 21-12 record into the Big Dance, the Catamounts have won nine of their last 10 games. The Catamounts defeated the top-seed UAlbany 62-55 in the conference title game on Friday (Mar. 14) on the road to secure their second NCAA Tournament berth in the last three years.
