BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont Athletics is ready to kick-off the home portion of our 2025-26 schedule on Thursday, August 21 as the defending NCAA National Champions men's soccer hosts Sacred Heart in its Home Opener and Banner Unveiling. The first 1,000 fans on Thursday will receive a co-branded National Championship flag from EastRise Credit Union, the presenting sponsor of Vermont Soccer.

Limited single game tickets are available for Thursday's contest at go.uvm.edu/hmop. The men's soccer team has sold over 1,300 season tickets this season and we're excited to have the preseason number one team back in action at Virtue Field.

As the 2025 Vermont men's and women's soccer teams begin the home portion of their schedule we wanted to share further enhancements to the fan experience for this season. UVM Dining and UVM Athletics have renewed their initiative to have available food trucks at Vermont soccer contests. On Thursday evening patrons will be able to order from Pizza 44, The Scoop, El Gato, Southend Sliders, Sabah House and the Caracas.

In addition, fans 21 and over will be able to purchase beer at all men's soccer contests and weekend women's soccer contests this season. On Thursday night fans will be able to enjoy the limited-edition Green & Gold Lager, celebrating the national title, from Zero Gravity Brewery. 

With increased food & beverage sales at Vermont soccer matches there will be a bag check instituted beginning Thursday evening, no outside food or drinks will be allowed.

UVM Athletics has partnered with Soccer Post Burlington to sell soccer apparel at this weekend's men's soccer games. Plan to visit them in the concourse to rep the newest items in green & gold.

The NCAA National Championship trophy will be on-display at all home men's soccer contests at the Marketing Table adjacent to the brand-new National Championship display on the concourse. Visit the Marketing Table and get your picture taken with a piece of UVM Athletics history!
