BURLINGTON, VT. – Sydney Remington was the lone goal scorer for the Catamounts as Siena (3-2-4) defeated Vermont (2-3-3) 2-1 at Virtue Field on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sydney Slusser recorded her first start of the season and second start of her career.
• In the five minutes of the match, Siena recorded a shot from the right side of the box that was saved by Sydney Slusser and went off her for a corner. Vermont managed to defend the corner attempt.
• Aubrey Bough connected with a ball inside the box from a Lauren DeGroot pass, but it went just wide left of the post.
• In the 16^th minute, Sydney Remington took a shot from outside of the box that just missed left of the goal.
• In the 26th minute, Slusser made a diving save to her right on a shot from the left side of the box. Following the save, Siena had a great look from the corner kick, but it went just above the crossbar..
• At the 41st minute, Siena took a shot from just inside the box that floated just above the crossbar.
• Two minutes later, Siena would record a goal off a free kick from the left side of the box.
• At the end of the first half, Vermont trailed 1-0.  
• In the 50^th minute, Aubrey Bough rocketed a shot on goal that was unfortunately saved by Siena.
• Siena would add to their lead in the 62^nd minute going up 2-0.
• In the 65^th minute Elizabeth Sommeling would have a shot on goal from the top of the box that Siena would save.
• Six minutes later, Elizabeth Sommeling would take a corner kick that would bounce of a Siena defender in the box and then Lauren DeGroot got a piece of the ball which led to Sydney Remington connecting with the ball for a top shelf goal. Sydney Remington continued her streak with her 5^th straight game with a goal or an assist as the Cats still trailed 2-1.
