COACH'S QUOTE
"I was really pleased with the way we set the tone to start the game," said Mayer Women's Basketball Head Coach Alisa Kresge. "We were going into a game with a team that plays a lot of different versions of zone. I thought our players really executed the star, which made me a little nervous going into the game. How would we attack this zone with the different ways they run it at you? So, I was pleased to see that, and the defensive intensity at the start of the game and at the end of the game. So, the start of the game and the end of the game are kinda in that same line of intensity, focus, detail-oriented, knowing the scout. And in between the quarters, there's a lot of good stuff, but some lulls there that I want us to be sharper on. Obviously, its a incredible atmosphere and I thought our players really fed off of all the energy today, which was really special to see."
