BURLINGTON, Vt. – Ariel Indrisano and
Robyn Tonomura-MacDonald each earned two wins Saturday leading the way for the Catamounts who won 10 events and defeated Northeastern for the first time in program history. Vermont topped the Huskies 158-123 from Forbush Natatorium as the Catamounts celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the program competing in a conference.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts kicked off the meet with their first win of the season in the 200 Medley Relay. Amaya Olivieri, Gwenyth Lister, Paige Korbely and Anastazja Szukala won the event by .20 seconds with a time of 1:47.38.
- Larkin Russell won the Catamounts first individual event of the season claiming the 200 Free in a time of 1:56.70.
- Boryana Krasteva won her first event as a Catamount claiming the 50 Free in a time of 27.46 topping Northeastern's best in the event by two-hundredths of a second.
- Indrisano made it four UVM wins in a row to start the day with a 50 Breast win. She finished in 31.04 .7 seconds faster than the nearest competition. Indrisano also won the 100 Breast for UVM.
- Tonomura-MacDonald swept the diving events for the first time in her career. She won the 1m first with a total of 238.65 points. She won the 3m with a mark of 253.05 points. Her teammate Valeria Velez finished second in the 3m with 231.98 points.
- Katie Lester won her first career 100 Back with a time of 59.00.
- Amy Kenworthy started strong with her ninth career win for Vermont in the 500 Free. She won the race with a time of 5:13.29.
- Olivieri earned UVM's final win of the day, her first collegiate win, in the 100 IM with a time of 59.72.
NOTES
- With today's Win, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to the Ronald McDonald House through the Cat's Win, Community Win's initiative. Vermont Mutual has donated over $6.4 Million Dollars since launching their Charitable Giving Fund.
- Following the meet over 150 alumni and friends of the program gathered at BBCO for a special alumni event to recognize the program's 50th Anniversary season.
WHO'S NEXT
Following today's meet, the Catamounts will return to action on Saturday, October 17 as they travel to Durham for a dual meet against their America East rival New Hampshire. The meet is slated for a 11 a.m. start.
Vermont will compete at home again on Saturday, October 31 as they host Maine at 11 a.m. It will be the Catamounts Annual Rally Against Cancer Meet presented by Mascoma Bank. The action will be streamed live on AmericaEast.TV
