COACH'S QUOTE
"Really proud of our guys this weekend," said Head Coach
Steve Wiedler. "So much credit belongs to our leadership group and all the guys in our room. They're doing a great job of not getting frustrated and having a never say die attitude. Their response to adversity has been impressive. It's never easy to get a sweep, especially within Hockey East.  Just proud of the group, their effort, and their buy in." Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont outshot the Wildcats 7-5 in a scoreless opening period. It marked the fifth straight start for UVM's Jacob Oster where he hasn't allowed a first period goal.
- The Catamounts appeared to open the scoring 2:57 into the second period on a power play. At the side of the net, it appeared that Ethan Burroughs stuffed the puck in along the post with Michael Simpson's pad. No goal was signaled and after a UVM challenge that remained the call.
- Vermont had 91 seconds with a five-on-three advantage midway through the second period. Simpson made three huge stops to keep the contest scoreless.
- UNH got on the board with their own power play moments later. Ryan Johnson one-timed a feed from Conner de Haro for his first goal of the season with 7:59 to play in the second.
- Michael Hagens equalized for Vermont with his second goal of the weekend 2:53 later. The Catamounts sprung in transition, as Tyler Dysart chipped the puck off the wall to Mathias Loiselle who streaked into the UNH zone. He stopped, turned and dished to Hagens at the top of the circle and his shot beat Simpson to tie things at one.
- UNH reestablished the lead with a goal scored seconds after a successful UVM penalty kill. New Hampshire's Alex Carr attempted a one-timer from the point, but his stick snapped in half. Unfortunately for UVM the puck caromed perfectly to Martins Lavins who one-timed it home past Oster to make it 2-1 with 9:51 to play.
- The Catamounts pulled the goalie for an extra-attacker in the final moments of regulation. Loiselle was battling in the corner for the puck and it squirted out to Colin Kessler. Kessler attempted a centering feed and the puck soared in the air out sight off a UNH defender's stick. The puck fell right in front of the UNH net and the first player to see it was Cédrick Guindon. Guindon fired it towards the goal, and it hit the back of the net before Simpson knew what happened.
- The Catamounts headed to overtime for the third time in the last four games. The teams exchanged opportunities back and forth in the extra session. Shots were 2-2 in the final minute of overtime when UVM broke through.
- Behind the UVM net Jonah Aegerter was pressuring UNH's Ryan Johnson relentlessly. Aegerter got inside position on him and as he was about to take possession Johnson hauled him down on the play. Loiselle took it from there, accelerating out of the zone on a breakaway. With a trailing defender closing in on him Loiselle wired a shot bar down 20 feet from net for the winner.
