BURLINGTON, Vt. – UVM Athletics will be hosting Natálie Mlýnková '24 and the Professional Women's Hockey League's Walter Cup on Monday, October 12 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Victory Club Room. Mlýnková, the 2023-24 Cammi Granato Hockey East Player of the Year, is the first Catamount to ever win the Walter Cup.

Jeff Schulman will provide brief remarks before Natalie signs autographs and fans are invited to take photographs with the Walter Cup. The first 200 fans will receive a commemorative 5x7 UVM/Victoire Mlýnková card. There will also be Domino's pizza served and refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.
As a rookie Mlýnková played all 30 games last season for the Victoire collecting five goals and five assists for 10 points. She led the team with three game-winning goals. She was one of just 10 rookies in the PWHL to register double-digit points. The Victoire became the first Canadian team to win the PWHL's Walter Cup topping the Ottawa Charge in four games in the championship series. Mlýnková skated in all nine playoff games for the Victoire.
Mlýnková was the second Catamount to lead Hockey East in points, amassing 26 points on a league-best 15 goals and 11 assists in 27 league games during the 2023-24 campaign. She helped lead the Catamounts to the Hockey East Semifinals in back-to-back seasons with program-record 22-win campaigns.
During the 2022 Winter Olympics she became the first UVM skater to score a goal in the women's tournament. She's currently Czechia's all-time leading scorer at the Olympics with four. She won back-to-back bronze medals at the 2022 and 2023 IIHF Women's World Championships.
Mlýnková will also have the Walter Cup Monday evening at Cairns Arena in partnership with Girls4Hockey. She will be hosting a Pop-Up Skills Clinic and Photo Op. From 5-6 p.m. there will be a clinic open to female identifying and non-binary players with birth years 2012-19. It costs $40/player, you can register at girls4hockey.com/guestcoach. From 6-6:45 p.m. there will be a free meet and greet and photo op.
