BURLINGTON, Vt. — Vermont (8-2, 0-1 AE) will host UMass Lowell (6-5, 1-0 AE) on Friday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m. on Moulton Winder Field. Friday's game is Spread Respect. The Catamounts will also host Appalachian State (6-5, 2-2 MAC) on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. for the Lauren Burke Smith '09 Memorial and Alumni Game. Both matches will be available to view through AmericaEast.TV.

LAUREN BURKE SMITH '09 MEMORIAL AND ALUMNI GAME
The Vermont field hockey community will honor and celebrate the legacy of Lauren Burke Smith '09 on Sunday. Smith was a beloved teammate and friend whose impact continues to be felt throughout the Catamount community.
Sunday will also serve as an opportunity to welcome back Vermont field hockey alumni and recognize the lasting connections that continue to bring the Catamount community together.

Vermont enters the weekend after splitting games against New Hampshire and Queens last week.

In the Catamounts' 8-0 victory over Queens on Sunday, Alicia Battistelli recorded her second hat trick of the season and earned America East Offensive Player of the Week.

Fiona McMahon recorded a career-high five points against Queens as she scored a goal and dished out two assists.

The Catamounts now have three players who rank in the top five in points in America East. Battistelli and Addie DelOrefice are tied for second, averaging 1.80 points per game. Consu de Castro ranks fifth, averaging 1.40 points per game.

Vermont ranks first in the nation in assists per game (4.10), points per game (12.30), scoring average (4.56), and scoring margin (3.67).

The Catamounts hold a 16-11-1 all-time record against the River Hawks.
