BURLINGTON, Vt. – No. 15 Women's Hockey (1-1-0) will travel to Winchendon, MA where they will face Franklin Pierce (2-2-0, 2-0-0 NEWHA) in a two-game non-conference weekend series starting on Friday (Oct. 9) at 7 p.m. and concluding on Saturday (Oct. 10) at 4 p.m. All the action from Jason Ritchie Ice Arena will be broadcast live on FloCollege.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- Vermont opened its regular season with a two-game home non-conference series against WCHA member Minnesota Duluth, winning the first game 3-0, the program's second ever win over a ranked opponent in a season opener, and then bringing the Bulldogs to overtime the next day, narrowly falling 3-2.
- The Catamounts were ranked No. 15 in the latest USCHO Women's Poll, earning their first top 15 ranking since 2023.
- Linnéa Misner was named Hockey East defender of the week after putting on a pair of stellar performances against the Bulldogs in her Catamount debut, notching three assists over the weekend while recording four shots on goal and blocking a game-high four shots on Saturday (Oct. 3), overall having six blocked shots on the weekend.
- Tara Bach was named Hockey East Co-Goaltender of the week after notching one shutout, 61 total saves, and a .953 save percentage in two starts against Minnesota Duluth, her first two games in the Green and Gold. Bach recorded a career high 36 saves during the opening game of the series.
- The Catamounts put five goals past the Bulldogs in their first weekend series, getting goal production from five different players. Friday's win was just the third victory over a WCHA member in program history.
- Vermont and Franklin Pierce face off for just the third and fourth time in program history. Last season the two programs met for the first time ever for a weekend series, splitting the weekend set. The Catamounts came out on top in game one 3-0 while the Ravens bounced back with a 3-1 win of their own the next day. The Catamounts combined for 90 total shots on goal throughout the two-game series last season, the most shots in a two-game span since the 2014-15 season.
SCOUTING THE RAVENS
- Franklin Pierce was selected to finish third in the 2026-27 NEWHA Preseason Coaches' Poll after an incredibly successful 2025-26 campaign seeing the Ravens secure the NEWHA Regular Season Championship, their second NEWHA Championship Title, and making the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
- David Stockdale, Head Coach and 2025-26 NEWHA Coach of the Year, returns to Franklin Pierce for his 15th season at the helm of the program.
- The Ravens currently hold a 2-2-0 overall record and a 2-0-0 record in conference play most recent sweeping Saint Michael's on the road outscoring the Purple Knights 12-3.
- Sophomore defender Melanie Targosz leads the squad in points (6) and assists (6) while first year forward Chloe King brings a team high four goals into the weekend set against the Catamounts.
