HOW IT HAPPENED
- LIU opened the game scoring at the 11:09 mark to go up 1-0.
- Two minutes later, the Sharks added another goal, extending their lead to 2-0 in the first quarter.
- Caitlin Haggerty responded with a goal assisted by Ava Wilde at the 6:17 mark.
- LIU answered with two goals, taking a 4-1 lead with two minutes remaining in the quarter.
- Haggerty scored her second goal of the game with under 20 seconds left in the quarter.
- Karina Sethi and Lydia Doraz each scored unassisted in the first minute of the quarter, tying the game at four.
- Sethi followed with consecutive unassisted goals, giving Vermont a 6-4 lead with 11 minutes left in the second quarter.
- Jane Trauger scored at the 9:52 mark, extending the Catamounts' lead to 7-4.
- LIUscored with eight minutes remaining, narrowingt the deficit to tw.o.
- Sethi tallied her fourth goal, and Ali Cabot added her first, putting Vermont ahead 9-5.
