BURLINGTON, Vt. – Max Frattaroli scored four goals to lead Vermont (6-6, 4-2 AE) to a 14-8 victory over Binghamton (2-11, 1-5 AE) on Senior Day at Virtue Field. With the win, the Catamounts have secured the No. 3 seed in the 2026 America East Men's Lacrosse Championship.

"Really proud of our guys for playing hard for our seniors today on Virtue, our last home game of the season, against a conference rival that's had our number the last two years," said head coach Chris Feifs. HOW IT HAPPENED

Vermont opened the first quarter with five unanswered goals. Zack Toll and Cullen Decker each scored twice, while Tristan Whitaker added an unassisted goal.

Binghamton got on the board at the 10:46 mark of the second quarter as Wyatt Walters scored off an assist from Liam Byrne.

The Catamounts responded with a 3-0 run from the 8:58 mark of the second quarter through halftime. Frattaroli scored twice during the stretch, and Tristan Whitaker added another goal to give Vermont an 8-1 lead at the break.

Vermont went on a 3-1 run in the third quarter, starting with a goal from Sean McCeney at the 13:32 mark. Frattaroli followed with back-to-back goals to give the Catamounts a nine-goal lead entering the fourth quarter.

Binghamton outscored Vermont 6-3 in the fourth quarter, but the Catamounts stood strong. McCeney, Ethan Pearson, and Decker scored in the frame, with Decker netting the final goal with 4:13 remaining.
