BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont women's lacrosse head coach Sarah Dalton Graddock announced that Ingrid Boyum will join her staff as an assistant coach.

"Her elite lacrosse IQ and proven success are undeniable, but her greatest asset is the wealth of life experiences she will bring to our young women.  She has been part of many championship teams with Navy and Team USA, and her presence will make a lasting impact on everyone she interacts with. "  

Boyum joins Vermont after serving as Head Lacrosse Coach and Associate Director of Admissions at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia, where she managed player development, recruiting, scouting, and logistics for both Varsity and JV programs. Her coaching experience also includes volunteer assistant roles focusing on defense and goalkeepers at American University, Virginia Wesleyan University, and Aloha Youth Lacrosse. 

Before coaching full-time, Boyum served as a United States Navy Officer, leading intelligence watch teams and deploying aboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). 

A decorated goalkeeper, Boyum currently represents Team USA on the Women's Box Lacrosse National Team. She was the starting goalie for the 2024 squad that won the inaugural Box Lacrosse World Championship and earned All-World honors for her performance. 

Boyum played at the United States Naval Academy, where she was a three-year starting goalkeeper for Navy Women's Lacrosse. She led the Midshipmen to two Patriot League championships, a 2017 NCAA Final Four appearance, and the 2018 NCAA Quarterfinals, setting multiple school records. 

A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Boyum graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in English.
