BURLINGTON, Vt. – No. 13 Men's Soccer (4-0-2) travels to Hempstead, NY on Tuesday, Sep. 15 where they will go head-to-head with No. 15 Hofstra (4-0-2, 1-0-2 CAA) in a rematch of the 2025 NCAA Tournament Second Round. The nationally ranked non-conference matchup will air on MSG Network as well as Prime Video, in addition to Flo College. To find it on Prime, search for the FloSports Channel.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- The Catamounts get set to play in their third consecutive road match, most recently battling to a 0-0 draw at Boston University on Sep. 8. With the draw against the Terriers, Vermont extended its road unbeaten streak to 16 matches (11-0-5) dating back to November 1, 2024. Niklas Herceg made five saves in the match at BU, securing his third straight shutout and fourth overall this season, earning him America East Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second time this year.
- Vermont holds a 7-7-1 all-time record against Hofstra. The Catamounts and the Hofstra Pride have met three different times in the last two seasons including twice in the NCAA Tournament with UVM holding a 2-1 record in those three outings.
- Herceg leads America East goalkeepers in numerous categories including Goals Against Average (0.50), Save Percentage (0.880), Shutouts (4), and Total Saves (22).
- Vermont as a team leads the America East in several categories including Assists Per Game (2.33), Goal Differential (+9), and Shutout Percentage (0.667), while ranking in the top two in categories like Corner Kicks per Game (5.67), Points per Game (6.33), Total Goals (12), and Total Points (38).
- The Catamounts are unbeaten through the first six matches of a season for the sixth time in program history, looking to stay unbeaten through the opening seven matches of a season for just the third time in program history.
- David Ismail leads the squad in points (7) having scored three goals and recording one assists thus far. Pieter Bultman is tied with Ismail for the team lead in goals (3), tied for third in the country amongst defenders. Luis Fischer has a team high four assists thus far, tied for 10th in the country.
- The Catamounts have never trailed during the 2026 season, scoring first in five of the six matches to begin the campaign.
SCOUTING THE HOFSTRA PRIDE
- Hofstra currently sits atop the CAA North with a 4-0-2 overall record and 1-0-2 conference record. Most recently, Hofstra played to a 1-1 draw in its third conference match of the season at Monmouth.
- Hofstra has yet to play against a Nationally Ranked opponent this season with Vermont being the first.
- The Hofstra Pride are led by junior forward, Bastian Carlman, who sits atop the squad in points (9) and goals (4). Hofstra has also gotten quality scoring production from fifth year midfielder, Sean Keane, who has seven points on three goals and one assist.
