BURLINGTON, Vt. – No. 23 Men's Soccer (5-1-2) returns to Virtue Field on Saturday (Sept. 26) at 6 p.m. welcoming No. 25 Bryant (5-1-2) to Burlington as both teams get set to open America East play in a matchup between two top 25 teams in the country. Saturday's contest against the Bulldogs will be UVM's annual Rally Around Mental Health Game presented by Redstone.

PROMOTIONS
Rally Around Mental Health presented by Redstone: Fans can receive bubble wands, bendeez sticks, and other small prizes, courtesy of Redstone. Redstone, Catamount Sports Psychology, the Vermont Army National Guard, and the Busyhead Project will be tabling along the concourse. 
 
VERMONT OUTLOOK

• In America East conference openers, Vermont holds a 19-14-5 record since 1988, most recently defeating UMBC 2-0 from Virtue Field during last season's conference opener. Since 2022, the Catamounts have gone 3-0-1 beginning America East play.
• Vermont and Bryant go head-to-head for the ninth time in program history on Saturday. The Catamounts hold an 8-0-0 record over the Bulldogs having met in the America East Championship match the last two seasons (2025 & 2024). Vermont holds a 5-0-0 record against Bryant during matches played on Virtue Field. 
• The Catamounts and Bulldogs are both currently tied for first place in America East with a 5-1-2 overall record, seeing each program enter this match coming off their first loss of the season.
• As a team, Vermont ranks in the top two of several statistical categories in America East including Assists Per Game (2.00), Corner Kicks Per Game (6.25), Goal Differential (+8), Points Per Game (5.50), Scoring Offense (1.75), Shot Accuracy (0.438), Total Assists (16), Total Goals (14), and Total Points (44).
• Individually, numerous Catamounts rank atop the conference in statistical categories as well. Islam Houssni is tied for the conference lead in Game-Winning Goals (2), Luis Fischer leads the conference in total assists (5), David Ismail is tied for the conference lead in shots on goal (15) and shot accuracy (1.88), and Niklas Herceg is tied for the Nation lead in shutouts (5) and sits atop the conference in that department.
• This will be the third consecutive match between Vermont and Bryant where both schools are nationally ranked.

 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

• Bryant was picked first in the 2026 America East Preseason Coaches Poll.
• Brady Geho leads the team with 10 points. He is tied for first in America East in both points and goals.
• Fermin Rodriguez and Paco Fernandez are tied for the team lead with three assists each.
• Geho ranks 13th in Division I soccer in shots per game at 3.88.
• Both Bryant and Vermont feature four common opponents outside of America East play on the schedule this season. Both teams have played Colgate and Dartmouth, and have games scheduled against Hofstra and UMass. Vermont defeated Hofstra 1-0 on Sept. 15.
