HANOVER, N.H. — Vermont (7-1) defeated Dartmouth (2-5, 1-1 Ivy), 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Chase Field. Addie DelOrefice led the Catamounts with four points, scoring both goals to extend Vermont's winning streak to four games.

"This wasn't our best hockey, but I thought our back line stood strong during some chaotic moments to earn the shut-out today," said Head Coach Kate Pfeifer. "We are giving up very few shots on goal right now, which is a direct result of our players' commitment to the defensive side of the game."
HOW IT HAPPENED

DelOrefice put the Catamounts on the board 3:27 into the first quarter, as she corralled a loose ball in front of Dartmouth's goalkeeper and batted the ball into the back of the net to give the Catamounts a lead.

DelOrefice had a golden opportunity to add to the lead with 13 seconds remaining in the second quarter after she stole the ball in the striking circle and fired a backhand shot on goal, but Dartmouth's goalkeeper made the save.

The Catamounts stood strong defensively in the second quarter, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime as they held Dartmouth without a shot on goal.

Vermont added to its lead at the 35:14 mark off a penalty corner. Emily Enden inserted the ball, and Fiona McMahon found DelOrefice parked to the side of the goal for the back-door redirection.
