SENIOR SEASON (2016): Played in 21 games with 20 starts...finished fifth on the team with 10 points...scored a goal in three UVM victories, on 9/4/16 vs. LIU Brooklyn, 9/21/16 vs. UMass, and 11/2/16 vs. New Hampshire...dished out four assists...earned an America East All-Conference Second Team selection
REDSHIRT JUNIOR SEASON (2015): Was hampered through the year with various injuries ... Played in 12 games and started 10 ... Recorded an assist in a win versus UMBC in the regular season that helped the Catamounts snap the Retrievers 27-game unbeaten streak in America East.
JUNIOR SEASON (2014):Â Played in the first six games of the season, starting five, before suffering a season ending knee injury.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2013): Started 12 of 15 games he played … Finished the year with seven points on two goals and three assists … Was named to the America East All-Conference First Team … Recorded a point in four straight games (Oct. 12 to Oct. 26) … Scored against Hartford and in a victory over Albany in the regular season meeting.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2012): Appeared in all 18 games, making two starts … Scored the game winner against Stony Brook which gave Vermont its firts America East Regular Season title since 1989 … Also tallied a goal against UMBC ... Was a unanimous pick for the 2012 America East All-Rookie Team.
BEFORE VERMONT:Â DeFeo came to Vermont after a scholastic career at Holderness School in Plymouth, N.H. ... He helped Holderness win the NEPSAC title in 2011 and the team was the runner-up in 2012 ... He served as captain of the team as a senior and garnered spots on the Boston Globe All-Scholastic Team, NEPSAC and Lakes Regional All-Star Teams ... He was also named to the NEPSAC All-Tournament Team ... He finished his career with 30 goals and 75 assists at Holderness.
PERSONAL:Â Is the son of Michael and Chantal DeFeo ... Has two sisters Lauren and Megan ... Is an environmental studies major.
