JUNIOR SEASON (2019-20): Skated in all 34 games for Vermont as a junior … Led the team with seven goals and was tied for third on the team with 13 points … Scored both game-winning goals in the Catamount Cup, helping Vermont defeat Union (Dec. 28) and Lake Superior State (Dec. 29) … Tallied at least a point in seven straight games and finished the stretch with nine points … Finished the season with 58 shots on goal and 19 blocked shots.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2018-19): Saw action in 33 of 34 matches, posting two goals and seven assists for nine points … netted the winning goal in a 2-1 OT victory against Connecticut (Nov. 3) … scored one goal in a 4-1 victory against Alabama-Huntsville (Dec. 28) … recorded two assists against Quinnipiac (Oct. 13) … assisted two goals at UMass Lowell (Jan. 18) … finished his second season with 48 shots on goal. 

FRESHMAN SEASON (2017-18): Skated in 12 games, posting four assists ... Made his collegiate debut at home against Colorado College (Oct. 7) ... Recorded his first career point with an assist at Union (Oct. 15) ... Assisted on the game-tying goal against UConn (Nov. 4) ... Tallied an assist against Boston College (Nov. 10) ... Registered a career-high four shots and an assist on the game-tying goal against Brown (Dec. 9) ... Finished the season with 21 shots on goal.

BEFORE VERMONT: Cowans spent one injury-shortened in the USHL … Netted five goals and 12 points in 27 goals in 2016-17 for the Waterloo Black Hawks … Posted 21 goals and 52 points in just 42 games during the 2015-16 campaign for Islanders Hockey Club in the USPHL … Previously played at Groton School in his native Massachusetts, piling up nearly 110 points in 51 games during his final two seasons ... Two-time All-ISL and Team MVP ... Also played lacrosse at Groton
