2014: Won every slalom race on the EISA Circuit in 2014 ... Was the EISA points leader in both the GS and slalom ... Won five of six EISA Championship races in the slalom and GS ... Won the first two GS races of the year at the UVM and Colby Carnivals ... Was the national runner up in the slalom ... Helped the Catamounts sweep the podium in the event, marking just the ninth time a school has swept the podium and second in an alpine event in NCAA Skiing Championship history ... The sweep helped Vermont move from fifth to second place on the final day of the NCAA Ski Championships ... Finished her collegiate career with 22 wins and 40 podium appearances.
2013: Did not finish lower than seventh in 10 races … Was named to UVM’s NCAA squad for the third straight season … Earned two All-America citations with a fifth-place finish in the GS and a sixth-place finish in the slalom … Made the podium six times on the EISA Circuit … Swept the GS and slalom races at the EISA Championships for the second straight year.
2012: Named to the UVM NCAA squad for the second staright year ... Won the NCAA individual championshp in the slalom ... Helped Vermont win the NCAA National Championship ... Was the national runner-up in the GS race at the NCAA's ... Earned NCAA All-America First Team honors in both the slalom and the GS for the second straight year ... Won both the GS and slalom races at the EISA Championships, leading UVM to the EISA title for the second straight year and 32nd time in school history ... Finished the year as the points leader in the GS and earned All-East First Team honors for the second straight year ... Was on the podium in 10 of the 12 races she competed in this season.
2011: Was the EISA Women's Alpine Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the All-East First Team ... She was named to the All-East First Team after an impressive season in which she stepped to the podium nine times and won five races ... She did not finish lower than fifth in 12 of 14 races and won both the giant slalom and slalom events at the UVM Carnival … Finished the EISA season as the points leader in the GS ... Earned a spot on the NCAA Team and was a First-Team All-American in both the GS and the slalom with a pair of fourth place finishes in the NCAAs … Also named to the USCSCA All-Academic Team ... Was the only apline skier, men or women, to earn double first-team All-America honors at the NCAA's.
BEFORE VERMONT: Ryley attended Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute and Vaughn Road Academy in Toronto, Ontario … Was a member of the volleyball team at LCPI … Posted a top-5 finish at the Canadian Junior National Championships.
PERSONAL: Kate Ryley is the daughter of Jeff and Nancy Ryley of Toronto, Ontario … She has two older siblings: Meg and Sam … Older sister Meg also skied for the Catamounts … Majoring in business administration with a minor in French.
