FRESHMAN SEASON (2016): Competed in all eight races ... Ran the America East Championships in 18:10.8 for 21st overall and fourth for Vermont ... Was third overall and the first Vermont finisher in the subvarsity race at the NEICAAA Championships (10/8, 18:52.6) ... Nabbed a top-10 finish at the Ted Owen Invitational (9/24), crossing the finish line in 18:17.3 ... Made her collegiate debut against UMass Lowell (9/3), running Red Rocks Park in 19:08 for a 22nd-place finish.
BEFORE UVM: Came to Vermont from Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School in Rumson, New Jersey ... Competed in cross country as well as indoor and outdoor track & field all four years of high school ... Captained both the cross country and track & field squads as a senior ... Earned All-County Second Team mention in 2015.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Chris and Karen Hellman ... Was born in Long Branch, New Jersey ... Has three older sisters, Katy, Molly and Megan ... Katy graduated from UVM in 2013 ... Molly competed in cross country and track & field at Stonehill College in Massachusetts, while Megan was on both squads at Penn State ... Chose UVM in part for its academic variety and the city of Burlington.
