SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014): Started 12 games and and appeared in all 18 on defense for the Catamounts … Made her UVM debut in the season opener vs. Providence.

BEFORE UVM: Comes to Vermont after spending last season at Radford University … Attended McLean HS in Virginia … Appeared in 17 games and finished with the fourth-most defensive saves on Radford last season … In high school, she was a two-time all-district performer, Liberty District Player of the Year and a Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention selection.
 
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Sean Mirzadegan and Faranak Arab … Her father played soccer at Fresno State University … Has one sibling, Raha … Ava also competed in cross country, gymnastics and lacrosse in high school ... Majoring in psychological science.
