SENIOR SEASON (Spring 2021): Appeared in and started all 10 games in the spring season … tallied her first career point with assist vs UC Davis (April 15) … also registered a defensive save against the Aggies.
JUNIOR SEASON (2019):Â Played in all 17 games this season while starting in 16.Â
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2018): Played in 14 games this year while earning her first collegiate start at eleventh-ranked Syracuse (8/24).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2017): Appeared in 12 games for the Catamounts on defense in her first season.
BEFORE UVM: Made the short trip up Route 7 after winning a state championship at Rice Memorial High School (2014) and captaining the Green Knights in 2015 and 2016 ... Was coached at Rice by former Catamount Kelly McClintock '08 ... Amassed 25 goals in her final two seasons at Rice in addition to 10 assists her senior season ... Was a two-time All-State selection (2015-16), as well as a two-time Capital Division Player of the Year (2015-16) ... Also a three-time Capital Division First Team pick ... In addition to field hockey, lettered in ice hockey and lacrosse.

PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Christopher and Mary Anne Sheahan ... Has two siblings, Hugh and Ted ... Clare’s choice to attend Vermont makes her the fourth member of her immediate family to do so ... Hugh currently attends UVM and will graduate in 2020 ... Mother earned her degree from UVM in 1986 ... Clare’s grandmother, Geraldine, graduated in 1955 ... Appreciates the quality of educational and athletic opportunities available on campus ... Listens to the Zac Brown Band ... Will pursue an environmental studies degree.
