Wein enters her third season as an assistant coach in 2020. She was recruited by head coach Kate Pfeifer at Northeastern and played four years for the Huskies from 2013-16.
In 2019, the Catamounts recorded 6 wins on the season with a shutout win at Hofstra. Sydney Melfi and Clodagh Ferry were named to the America East All-Conference Second Team and Kate Hall was awarded the America East All-Rookie Team.
In 2018, Vermont posted eight wins, the most since 2007, and earned a berth to the 2018 America East Tournament in Palo Alto, California. Vermont claimed a 3-0 road victory over 15th-ranked Maine late in the regular season. It marked the first win over the Black Bears since 2007 and just the 10th in series history.

Wein served as a volunteer assistant coach at NU in 2017 during the final season in the 30-year tenure of Northeastern Hall of Fame coach Cheryl Murtagh. She was also a coach at the Boston Field Hockey Club during that time.

During her junior and senior seasons at Northeastern from 2015-16, she started and played every single minute in the team's 36 contests. Wein served as team captain as a senior, recording two defensive saves and adding an assist.

A Maryland native, Wein played four years of varsity field hockey at Perryville High School, captaining the Panthers to a division championship during her senior season.
