The 2018 season will mark Kyle Lyons' fifth as an assistant coach with the Vermont field hockey program.
This past season, Lyons helped Vermont beat New Hampshire for the first time since 2007. Juniors Landon Warren and Olivia Hurd were honored by the America East, with Warren grabbing All-Conference honors and Hurd picking up All-Academic honors.
The Catamounts made tremendous strides in 2016, Lyons’ third year in Burlington. UVM matched its combined win total from the previous two seasons and won its first six home matches for the first time since 1979. Lauren Tucker received NFHCA All-Region recognition and three Catamounts, including Tucker, picked up America East All-Conference awards.
Lyons came to Vermont after spending two seasons as an assistant coach with the Bryant University field hockey program. She helped guide the Bulldogs to 17 wins overall, including seven in conference play, in her two seasons with the team.
