GRAD SEASON (2023): Started all 18 games in central defense for Vermont… She had two goals and four assists for eight points with the four assists being a career high… Scored on her only penalty stroke of the season against UC Davis… Finishes her career starting every game she played in for a total of 81 appearances.

SENIOR SEASON (2022): Started all 18 games for UVM at central defense … finished the season with career-highs in goals (3), assists (3) and points (9) … fired 14 shots including eight on cage … went a perfect 2-for-2 at the penalty stroke dot … logged over 1,100 minutes – the most in her career.

JUNIOR SEASON (Fall 2021): Started all 18 games for UVM … finished the season one goals and three points to go along with eight shots on goal … Scored her lone goal on a penalty stroke in a 4-0 win over UC Davis.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (Spring 2021): Started all 10 games for UVM … finished the season with six shots on goal … recipient of the team’s Catamount Grit Award – given to the student-athlete who demonstrated remarkable work ethic and commitment to being mentally and physically tough.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2019): Started in all 17 games in her collegiate debut season ... Scored her first goal against Merrimack (9/20). 

BEFORE VERMONT: Buffenbarger joins the Catamount program after a four-year varsity field hockey career at Foxcroft School ... The midfielder is the program's all-time leading scorer with 85 goals and 211 points ... Additionally, she served as team captain in 2017 and 2018 and was named Team MVP after each campaign ... Buffenbarger also played basketball and lacrosse at Foxcroft ... She is the fifth Virginian to join the UVM field hockey program, joining current junior Sierra Espeland.
