2010 SEASON: Played in six games as a freshman.

BEFORE UVM: Askari comes to Vermont from Huron High School, where she helped lead her team to the state championship game twice … As a team captain during both her junior and senior seasons, she was named Michigan Division I First Team twice … Askari was also named a Michigan High School Field Hockey Association Academic All-Star … She took part in the U-14 Nationals Tournament and helped lead a U-19 team to a first place showing in the Regional Rumble this past year.

PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Frederick Askari and Donna Wicker … Has two siblings; an older brother Jake who attends the University of Michigan and a younger sister, Alana … Plans to major in biology.
