SENIOR SEASON (2017): Played in all 17 games and made 15 starts in her final season ... Scored in her final collegiate game against UMass Lowell (10/29).
JUNIOR SEASON (2016): Started all 19 games on the season ... Chipped in four goals to go with an assist ... Notched the game-winning goal against Bryant (9/18) ... Scored against Northeastern (9/4) as the Catamounts eliminated a 2-0 second half deficit to ultimately win ... Picked up an assist in the season-opener against Central Michigan (8/26) ... Helped UVM to its first 6-0 home start since 1979 ... Also guided the squad as it matched its combined win total from the previous two seasons.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015): Saw action in 18 games off the bench ... Picked up an assist versus Hofstra ... Scored a goal in match against Quinnipiac.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2014): Started 16 games and appeared in all 18 … Made her Catamount debut in the season opener vs. Providence … Ranked tied for third on the team in goals (3) … Registered a pair of goals for the first of her career against Fairfield … Tallied a goal in Vermont’s 2-0 win over Holy Cross … Scored three goals in the final three games of the season.
BEFORE UVM: Comes to Vermont from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and Holderness School … Named a team captain her senior season … Led her squad to the Lakes Region Championship in each of her final two seasons and the NEPSAC Championship in 2013 … Selected to the Lakes Region All-League team … Won the Field Hockey Coaches’ Award in 2012.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Dave O’Brien and Donna Kasianchuk … Her father played hockey at Rutgers … Has three siblings: Jake, Hannah and Luke … Jake played lacrosse at Colorado College and Hannah played field hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse at Colby College … Tess also played ice hockey and lacrosse in high school … Favorite sports team is the Boston Bruins ... Majoring in secondary education.
