SOPHOMORE SEASON (2011-12): Vazzano played in seven games and made six starts, logging 331:03 of ice time ... Posted a 1-4-0 record, 3.62 goals against average and a .890 save percentage ... Made his first career Hockey East start in Vermont's first home series against No. 9 Merrimack and stopped 20 shots (Oct. 29) ... Registered his first career 30+ save performance at Providence with 32 (Nov. 5) ... Picked up his first career win with 26 saves against Dartmouth (Nov. 27) ... Got the starting nod against Northeastern and made 24 stops (Jan. 28) ... Started both games of a weekend series at No. 9 UMass Lowell and made a career-high 38 saves in the Friday game, including 30 in the first two periods (Feb. 3).

FRESHMAN SEASON (2010-11): Vazzano saw action in four games, logging 70:46 minutes and stopping 25 of 28 shots he faced … Posted a 2.54 goals against average and a .893 save percentage … Saw his first collegiate action at Massachusetts (Nov. 23), making three saves in 11:15 minutes of play … Played 25:54 minutes against the Minutemen at home (Jan. 22) and turned aside seven shots … Gave up two goals and made 11 stops in his first career start at St. Lawrence (Dec. 18) … Played 13:37 minutes at No. 14 Merrimack (Jan. 29), stopping four shots.

BEFORE VERMONT: Vazzano played goalie for The Gunnery in Washington, Conn., from 2008 to 2010 … He posted a .926 save percentage in 2009-10 as a team captain … He helped lead the Highlanders to a 26-5-3 record and a NEPSHC West League Championship … Was also named a NEPSHC First-Team All-New England All-Star … Posted a 53-10-7 career record at Gunnery … Also played soccer and baseball at Gunnery.
