FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12): Doerring skated in 29 games on defense with a goal and three assists ... Collected his first career point with an assist in his home state at No. 8 Minnesota in a 5-4 win (Oct. 23) ... Posted his first career multi-point game (1 G, 1 A) and netted his first collegiate goal against No. 16 Boston University on the road (Nov. 18) ... Named to the Hockey East Top Performer List on Nov. 21 ... Had his final helper against No. 11 Ferris State in the Catamount Cup (Dec. 30).
BEFORE VERMONT: Doerring played for the Des Moines Buccaneers in the United States Hockey League during the 2010-11 season ...
